Antigua Guatemala is a city that captures hearts, and for Gali, it’s love at first sight. Her journey here is more than a trip — it’s a story of discovery, flavor, and tradition.

Morning Coffee with a View of Volcán de Fuego

The cobblestoned streets of Antigua lead Gali to a terrace overlooking a skyline of volcanoes. With farm-to-table Guatemalan coffee in hand, she watches Volcán de Fuego rumble and glow in the distance.

Just yesterday, with the help of Gali’s Tours and Travels, she conquered the Acatenango hike — standing at the summit as Fuego erupted in the night sky. The memory is so fresh, it’s already trending: her Acatenango reel goes viral on Instagram, a fiery postcard from paradise.

Central Park: The Heart of Antigua

Her next stop is Central Park, the cultural hub where tourists and locals gather to celebrate life. Vendors weave through the crowd selling handmade Mayan crafts and textiles, glowing with color and tradition.

Sitting on a park bench, Gali soaks in the atmosphere. Beneath the shade of jacaranda trees, she thinks: I could get used to this.

A Sweet Lesson in Chocolate

The irresistible scent of cocoa draws her into the ChocoMuseo. Here, Gali joins a chocolate-making workshop, learning the rich history and tradition of Guatemalan chocolate.

She leaves with a local treat — a choco banano (banana dipped in molten chocolate). One bite redefines dessert: velvety, deep, and authentic, a flavor that can only be found in Guatemala, one of chocolate’s original birthplaces.

Walking Among the Ruins

As the day winds down, Gali explores the colonial ruins that line Antigua’s streets. Each cracked wall and fallen arch tells a story of resilience — a reminder of how nature and history shape Guatemala together.

Step by step, Gali falls deeper in love with the Land of Eternal Spring.
