Descripción del servicio
This 2-day, 1-night tour takes you deep into the jungles of Alta Verapaz to visit Semuc Champey and the Kamba Caves, two of Guatemala’s most impressive natural wonders. Semuc Champey (“where the river hides under the stones”) is a protected natural monument near the town of Lanquín. Here, the Cahabón River disappears beneath a 300-meter limestone bridge, while on top a series of stepped turquoise pools form perfect natural swimming holes. Surrounded by dense jungle, small waterfalls and viewpoints, it’s one of the most spectacular spots in the country. Your experience begins with transport from Antigua to Lanquín. The next morning, the tour departs from your hotel in Lanquín at 8:00 a.m. You transfer to 4x4 vehicles and head into the mountains to visit Semuc Champey National Park and the Kamba Caves. At Semuc you’ll have time to enjoy the pools, relax, swim and take photos of the jungle scenery. In the Kamba Caves, you explore with a local guide, walking through water and admiring rock formations. Some sections require swimming, adding a fun sense of adventure as you move from one chamber to another. After a full day in the area, the tour returns to Lanquín around 4:00 p.m., and the following morning you begin the journey back to Antigua. Tour duration: - 2 days, 1 night Includes: - Round-trip transportation - 4x4 transfers from Lanquín to the sites - Entrance fees to Semuc Champey and Kamba Caves - Local bilingual guide This Semuc Champey & Kamba Caves Tour is ideal for travelers who want a more adventurous side of Guatemala, combining jungle landscapes, crystal-clear pools and an unforgettable cave experience.
